PH keeps going OFF
Hi All,
My PHed water will not stay stable. I ph my water using my meter and double check reading with aqiurium solution tester. If i check water in few hours, readings are going up. All water juggs sit open for 48 hours for clorine purposes. This has happened twice now and i can't keep flushing. Girls are 1 month old- I use API Ph down from aquirium store.. Wrong stuff bro....don't use aquarium products on your plants...they are not fish! WHAAAAA???? Of course you've read all the sticky's and info here on ph already, right? Go get ph up or down for PLANTS, or use natural common household stuff to adjust ph. There's tons of info on ph here, if you bother to look...
You'll probably get more responses if you change that sig a little...just sayin...

Ya change the end of the sig dude and I won't be offended.
Your letting the water sit out allows free ions to escape and gain over time. Oxygen and chlorine evaporate. As they do this the pH changes because of the ion exchanges which eventually effect the pH. I don't let my water sit out. It does no harm to use tap water unless it is way off line. You drink it yourself.....hasn't hurt me yet/
