PTSD and Cannabis
I believe PTSD comes in many forms, I treat mine through Medical Cannabis and Gardening as a meditation form. I can start off by saying I am a Veteran of the first Gulf and a veteran of intitutions, having a fair share of memories that continue to this day. racing thoughts of friends and fights that lead to paranoia and aggitation..and if not in check worse... I use cannabis daily, all day to alleviate the anxiety brought on by constant memories. Thankfully during the day I am awake and can focus on other things like my family, at night sometimes the memories are too real and sometimes it takes hours in the garden to refocus on life. I do know that the things I have seen inside this countries Prisons far outweighs much of what I have seen anywhere else. Unfortunately I believe more then combat vets and convicts can benefit from every aspect of Marijuana.....please fill me in on your thought..thank you

old head i couldn't agree more ptsd comes from many form i get mine developed from family stress i have a lot on my shoulders my dad has been ill for many years i have been taking care of him he has kidney failure and is diabetic. its a lot of stress trying to take care of him and bringing up my family trying to raise a 4,6 year old. i also deal with mine by medicating on a daily bases to fight my anxiety and sever back pain and spasms. a day in the garden is a day of peace and helps me stay strong and motivated to help myself., dad who also medicates threw tinge teas and edibles. and hats off to u for serving are country. i think many combat vets should consider mmj rather that all the meds they prescribe for ptsd medical mj is far more effective to balance the every day life.
what is your email? i was wondering if you can also give me some advice in how to go about renting a house. i would like to be up front with the home owner before i rent so it doesn't cause future problems . thanks look forward in hearing from u my email is [email protected]

I also have PTSD, brought on by severe trauma as a child and then again as a teenager. Nightime is the worst time for it too, it is all quiet and there is nothing but the memories and destructive thoughts that can go along with that. I make sure that I have a good heavy Indica for nightime and either use an edible along with smoking/vaping before I can sleep and let go of all of the dark things that want to bring me down. During the day it is easier and I have to be mobile so I use sativas or sativa strong hybrids.

Hey Old Head,
I have seen some really good things about PTSD & Cannabis. That memory loss thing is helpful if the memories are not all good. It was research conducted by an Israeli scientist looking into the health benefits without the interference of special interests and politics. I'll look it up and post.

been everywhere you described,... anger for years.....bottled in....."gardening" does give me pause to forget the bullshit in my life, depressurize if you will...ha...its taken over my favorite hobby(gold hunting)...ya, smoking works also...but ,doing the whole trip(planting,growing,harvesting,curing)seems..... more rounded?more theraputical?i think the feeling of creating life, combats the desperate feeling syndrome...maybe not much, but some medicine has to be better than none...i do know this, building walls around yourself(like i've done for decades)does NOT help.....its hard to forget the past, when it just flashes into your brain constantly, unbidden,i think this is caused, when your brain is operating at half power(lol,no offense)like when you're doing something that doesn't take concentration.....i've been told ...focus...on the task at hand,on everything you do,keeping your mind focused, gives memories a smaller window to come thru(i think that rhymes,goddammit)...Peace be upon you OldHead, and our fallen brothers....
