This is why we, as patients and caregivers, must continue to fight for our rights to cultivate our own Cannabis!
The RI DOH is either unwilling or unable to license ANY care centers so far.
The MMP Program has been in existence in RI for 5 years now and without compassionate caregivers patients would still be buying their Cannabis from the black market.
Politicians like to use caregivers as scapegoats and blame them for a non-existent "rise in crime"!
These same politicians ignore the fact that without caregivers or the ability to grow our own Cannabis ALL medical Cannabis patients would have no choice but to buy their medicine from criminals!

For a while, I was begining to think that most of the intellegent people left the forum... YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!

The problem is, some of us do, we just don't have the organization they do which is funny if you think about it...

The Government organized...lmfao

They are also testing the waters because they know that some of the CC's who don't get approved, and probably should, will most likely file legal action against the state, again, for failure to comply with their own policy..

The only good sign is, they at least told us about the delay and restated that they were still within there agreed upon time frame for making the decision (technically, the time frame expires March 15th). The last time they just blew us off and submitted an article in the paper two week later and said all were denied... I say we have a 50/50 chance....and I'm foolishly optimistic...lol

Health department just keeps finding ways to build us up just to let us down. Hopefully this just gives us another week to rally the people to properly represent themselves and have a strong presence at this hearing.

Hello All,

By now everyone has heard about the Dept.'s decision to delay there decision on who they are going to award the licenses for the C.C.'s.
This is unacceptable! We are still holding the rally but now it is a protest. Pass on this info please. We need signs made stating, "Where's the compassion."
"How much longer are we going to wait." And things of that nature. The Protest for Compassion will still be at the Health Dept. Tuesday the 8th in providence at 10am-2pm and then from there we will march down to the state house to make our voices heard there. With the budget in all the headlines we the Rhode Island Medical Cannabis Community can not let our cause Go Unnoticed!
