Is this a permanent thing, or will this be fixed?

I also noticed that if I want, I can delete all the pictures I've posted over the years. If we can do that, why not let us edit posts from last year, too?

And finally...when I try to edit mid-sentance, (spelling errors, for instance) the text get's screwed-up.

Are there more updates scheduled?

Glad to be back. You've done a fine job and there's so much new stuff to explore. But the growing forums could really use actual photo's rather than attachments. For those of us with slow connections, it would save a boatload of time.

Looks like my bad...it was giving me the option in my UCP (attachments page) to delete albums, but not individual photo's.

But...this morning, I had to re-do half a paragraph. I misspelled a word, and when I went back to edit...for every letter I typed, it would remove the next letter after the edit. On the next post, instead of re-typing the entire sentence, I positioned the cursor to the space just after the word I was editing, hit the 'enter' key , reposition the cursor to what needed editing, make the edit, and use the delete key just after the edit to re-join the sentence. But of course, it doesn't happen now. Grrrr. :wtf: This same thing did happen a couple years ago after updates...

Any chance you could increase signature length...?

From what ive seen is that all forums are like that. You have to open the attachments one at a time if you want to view the pics instead of just seeing the pictures.

Just gave this an hour of my life and have yet to find any key combination to toggle the insert mode.
It must exist.
I'm in insert mode by default and can't find a toggle to overwrite mode.

About to try some mouse tricks.

Found some interesting toggles but no insert/overwrite.

I give up.
You might just have to compose in Word, wordpad, or your favorite editor, then copy n paste.

I am wondering if having the html code turned off is what is causing the img inserts inside messages not to work correctly, as well as the youtube stuff. I am only able to display my pictures as an active part of a message by putting it first into an album and then using the BB code (which is turned on) to insert that picture into my text. As long as you want to keep an album as an archive of all your pictures referenced in your posts, this will work. I think it would use less server space though to let us do an html link to bring them in.

Also, I noticed you turned the blogs off Sundance. I am guessing you didn't like the idea after seeing how people used this space in the first attempt? I think if it were set up as a no-comment-allowed-space to document a process or a happening, we could see a good implementation of the "blog" concept here... used simply a private alternative space to use as if it were a forum thread to solicit comments, it definitely was a failure. This concept of what a "blog" traditionally is would have to be moderated well to keep the concept of a blog intact and make it work as an area supporting the rest of the work being done in the larger forum. It could be done though... I thought I was already working on an interesting idea for it with my Evolution of a Bud series.
