Rust spots and leaf crinkle
Hi all,
I've been gone to NOLA for the Mardi Gras and just got back,to find one of the 5 plants (all White Widow) of my first grow is still flourishing/growing but with a couple of issues. I'm using all LED, 2 small banks, one overhanging and one perpendicular to the floor, and the plants are strong and dark and bushy now, if a little shorter than expected.
However, one of my girls, the tallest of the bunch, the early grower, grew so fast while I was away that she pressed against the light. Now, the LED gives off virtually no heat, but there are top leaves that are living, yet are curled and stunted, and some grown leaves, also on top, that are a bit..."wavy" at their base by the stem. There are also a couple of lower leaves on that plant that have rusty colored spots on them, maybe 3-4 spots per leaf, small but noticeable. What I'd like to know is,
1) What is causing the crinkled leaves in that one plant (others are almost equally as tall, one even pressing against the light in a similar way with no ill effects)
2) What is the reason for the rust spots - is it as I suspect related to the crinkled leaves?
My PH is a bit high, 7, I keep the water at 6.4, no need for extra nutes at this point since I'm using Miracle Grow 6week potting soil with perlite and peat. The peat is quite high PH so I won't use it again, but it's just the one plant with the issues. I even have a survivor from initial over watering, the runt, that has no issues despite its weakened state.
Any help will be vastly appreciated. Trejedytrejedy Reviewed by trejedy on . When you left they were sitting in water? So they would have enough..Right? If that was the case..Not sure.. Then you would have leached the nutrients lower in the pot, burning the roots. They gotta breathe.. The roots..
