I told them the bud is the part you smoke, period. I told them that at most marijuana may reveal underlying schizophrenia (and other such disorders) but that it's not a real concern for the vast majority of people. I told them that it was in no way addicitive and that I periodically abstain and feel fine and that I've stopped drinking and started eating more because of it (My father has crohn's disease and I've been showing symptoms [i.e. weightloss]), etc., etc. I urged them to smoke the rest of my stash or make some canabutter so they would have a better understanding. That was brushed off. They said they don't want me involved in with 'the drug sub-culture', by which they mean dealers. I told them that's why they should let me grow my own and that if they were serious about avoiding products that are connected to things they find abhorent they would have to stop consuming just about every product on the market. Their only valid objections were ones created by the fact that it is prohibted. I'm afraid the irony was lost on them, however.
