I fail to see how this warrants a protest. Please do not flame me for this but with Dr. Gifford having recently stepped down from his position and an INTERIM director now in place, I assume the health department is having a tough time getting everything in order. As much as I wish it was, I doubt medical marijuana was one of Dr. Fine's immediate concerns upon accepting the position.

The postponement is only one week (RI.gov : Rhode Island Government : Department of Health to Announce Decision on Compassion Center(s) on March 15) and I feel ticking off the people working in the health department as well as the "community" prior to a final decision can only be contradictory to what we want to accomplish. If all centers are denied approval on the 15th, then I believe a protest is in order. Until then I feel only positive reinforcement should be considered as an appropriate means of conveying our message.

This is just my opinion. I look forward to hearing others opinions and views.
