yep not always the case if you have a short branch im sure the buds will just be fatter....longer branches slimmer longer buds
my op from plants ive seen.... but really all plants react & grow differently as ive found out... im sure the plant will only produce as much bud as it can or as it was ment to

if the strain the seed came from was prone to low yield then no matter how lanky you get it it can only produce what it can
