    when germinating!

I just germinated a few Kush seeds in paper towel in ziplocks bags they have been in for 36 hrs at 80 F. I just checked and they have 2mm roots. My questions are (how long should the root be) before i place them in a small dome in the mini pucks of soil. And at wht temp and hummitity should the dome be under the floresent lights. Any insight from you fellers would be GGGreat as i never did the germination before. thanx

They should be good to plant right now. Don't let the light burn 'em tho.
Try not to touch the root with your fingers, use tweezers, gently, and try to place them in about a ½ inch deep with the root down.

put the lights about 3-4inches from the dome....The nice thing about Fluro's is that its almost impossible for them to get hot enough to actually harm the plant. But they don't distribute a ton of light over the space that you probably need. i would say leave the fluro's off above the dome until the seeds break ground and are just about to drop the seed casing and you can see the cotyledon (first 2 leaves) they'll be yellow. then if your moving your plant(s) out of the dome into your growspace put them about 3 or 4in from the fluro and move the lights as they grow

Thats just in my opinion, thats how a buddy of mine did it and it worked well for him. good luck! :stoned:

im at about the same stage as you right now for some of my outdoor plants that im going to move outdoors once things finally get sunny. Also using flourescent lights and i can tell you one thing is that your gunna want the light to be as close as you can get it to the plant because when it gets too far you start to lose lumens fast. best of luck to you. The wait to see if the plant actually pops through the soil is the most anxious part ha ha
