True Ghandi was a great man and achieved a lot through non-violence but non-violence is not a viable option for Libya or Bahrain or any of these countries...peaceful protesters are being killed by snipers and hundereds have simply dissapeared..snatched up by the secret police and silenced forever! There is a need for violence..evil dictators need to be killed..Gaddafi needs to be hung, you can't reason with these people, they're clinical psychopaths! There's no cure for that

I would like to predict World Peace to be optimistic, and not that some nutjob is going to do something so awful because of the historical calendar date. You pointed out some scary stuff, Joe. Let us hope it will be positive rather than negative. :thumbsup:

I totally agree with this. I see what is happening right now as a good thing. It is no accident that these revolts are all happening in dictatorships and fascist / socialist regimes. The people there, fueled by the new world communications systems are realizing that in the places that allow the "people" a voice, good things are happening. They want that too. Wouldn't you?

Yes, there will be some pain associated with this change. It's because the leaders in power now refuse to give it up without a fight. I really believe that what GHWB announced is true... we are on the verge of a new world order. A time when we renounce the old conflicts between borders and religions and become a human race, finally. Way way in the future, they will look at this time as when we finally broke free of the old feudal system and decided that we have one planet... its time to have one "people." It will be a rough transition, but it IS happening. Freedom is not without a cost, Americans know that. Now it is the third world's time to earn their freedom. We must do everything we can do to encourage them. I do not think that Lynhal's vision of World Peace is very far off now that every single human being on this planet can be heard through twitter and facebook and blogs of all kind. I see promise and potential. And I see hope for those who have never known it. It is a good day. :thumbsup:

I can't remain silent on one part, although I agree with the rest of what you say. GHW Bush's New World Order is the present state of the world, not what the changes are going to bring. The changes will reverse the Bush's declared NWO. :twocents:

LONDON â?? Brent oil prices soared above $105 per barrel on Monday, striking a fresh two-year peak as deadly violence in Libya fuelled concerns over spreading unrest in the Middle East and north Africa region.

Brent North Sea crude for delivery in April surged to $105.15 per barrel, the highest level since late September 2008, before pulling back slightly to $105.02, up $2.50 from Friday's closing level.

New York's main contract, light sweet crude for March, known as West Texas Intermediate, jumped to $90.52. It later stood at $90.35, up by a hefty $4.15 from Friday.

Angry Libyan protesters ransacked the state broadcaster and set government buildings ablaze on Monday, as the son of leader Moamer Kadhafi warned the country faces civil war and "rivers of blood".

With gunfire crackling in the streets of Tripoli, and Human Rights Watch putting the death toll at 233 since Thursday, Saif al-Islam Kadhafi vaguely promised reforms as he condemned the revolt as a foreign plot.

Moamer Kadhafi, 68, the longest-serving leader in the Arab world, remained out of sight.

"Brent crude oil hit a new high above $105 a barrel, following news of the strike at a Libyan oil field today, and the fear of oil field disruption looms large," said analyst Rebecca Seabury at UK energy consultancy Inenco.

OPEC member Libya is Africa's fourth largest oil producer after Nigeria, Algeria and Angola, boasting production of 1.8 million barrels per day and estimated reserves of 42 billion barrels.

Libya exports most of its oil to European countries, including Italy, Germany, Spain and France.

"Violence in Libya is the main driver of the price rise," added Commerzbank analyst Carsten Fritsch.

"An influential tribal leader has threatened to cease oil shipments to the West within 24 hours if the violence against protesters does not end."

The market had breached $104 last week on escalating tensions in the key oil-supplying Middle East and North Africa area, following the ousting of presidents in Egypt and Tunisia.

Elsewhere on Monday, Bahrain's Sunni Muslim ruling family came under increased pressure to open in-depth negotiations with the Shiite-led opposition as protesters erected more tents on the capital's Pearl Square.

Experts warned that oil prices could rocket to record levels beyond $147 per barrel -- if the unrest spreads to Saudi Arabia

"The market will be most concerned over the protests spilling into Saudi Arabia. So far we have only seen low key, small scale protests there," added Seabury.

"However, as Saudi Arabia is the world's largest oil exporter, if the situation escalates this could take oil prices ... higher than the $147 a barrel we saw in 2008."

On Tuesday, the International Energy Forum will meet in Saudi Arabia as the geopolitical tensions and economic recovery drive prices back to levels last seen before the 2008 global financial crisis. The IEF groups the world's top oil producing and consuming nations. RAW

I too would like to believe the world changes that are predicted are ones of global unity the joining of all to a free world and freed societies. These revolts in the east be people finaly taking the stand and the charge of their countries and sayiny enough is enough we are the people who ELECT our governments but many forget that we also have the right to unite and oust that government if we so wish if that government needs oustin. These people have realized that the PEOPLE have the numbers in most all cases and when that realization happins a powerfull entity grows its up to the power of that entity to govern its actions in its exicution of directions. This is were fine lines are walked. I just like to believe as Lyn here stated its a change for the better a united union of the whole rather then severance.

Lets hope i am right cause the alternative thought process says to me a different sinorio all together.

9/11/2011... going by statistics I would imagine that there'll be a major geo/political event that will ultimately change our worlds for the worse. The N.W.O is a philosophy over 100 years old...if it was only announced in 1991 and came into play in 2001 then i would say that it's still very much in the early stages...they could have a 50yr or 100yr plan. But ye, the people are rising..the power is being taken from the dictators and people are being freed from bondage. Revolt my brothers and sisters...by 4-20 there will be peace haha
