keep the soil warm during germination, (around 80 degrees)... moist, not too wet, not too deep with the seed, add a little perlite

What DP said times 2...That's kinda a "hot" mix, so be careful with seedlings and watch for some burn early on, but it will work, especially if your re-potting regularly...just be very careful if you decide to add any additional nutes...very easy to burn plants using MG stuff...and I'd put quite a bit of perlite in it too! 20% maybe? and make sure your pots have very good drain holes!

DP...can I have your "old" avatar? you know...the one with the giraffe raising it's eyebrows??? LMAO! Where'd it gooooooooooo???? That one cracked me up every time I saw it! Very funny, but I like the Dead too!

I have to say, in my experience, that this depends on the strain.
I've found that sativa dominant strains don't take too well to overdoses of MiracleGrow. On the other hand, I've never had burns when growing indica dominant strains. However, that's with a 24-8-16 solute. I've never used potting mix so I can't help with that, sorry.
