I wouldn't mind seeing some of those critters though I am not to excited at seeing any wounds. So far I have never been bitten by any real wild animals. Got bit by gopher snakes, had a squirrel run up my arm when I was trying to kill him with a shovel and had two lizzards run up my pants leg on different occasions.

I always have one or two dogs with me so I don't get snuck up on. One is real crazy and will never start a fight but will always finish it. She can keep up with deer running through the woods. Not sure what would happen if a bear, mountain lion or boar came along. I usually have a gun not far away.

Looks like we will have a nice spring with plenty of rain and snow for the water supply from this winter. It helps my situation since I water with spring water. It will also increase the numer of critters in my woods and the surrounding national forest. There will be a particular time in the morning during spring that it seems like every bird in the forest is calling at once. It just lasts a few weeks at that decibel level but I really look forward to those mornings.

I hate bees lol.. Few years ago went fishing after work with my friends, had to walk through the woods to the other side of the lake to get where we fished. Wasn't getting bites for jack so decided to go scavenge some bait, found a half buried tire.. perfect something gonna be under there! yeah a bee hive LOL

My friend that could see what was going on wasn't close enough to see the bees, he just saw me running slapping myself from my ankles to my head.. They got caught in my dreads, freaked me the hell out, could hear the buzzing real good.

I have a buddy who hit a yellow jacket nest with a little bobcat bucket. They went after everyone in site. One of the guys had a shaved head and ran off waving his hands on his head in a wierd way so they could sting him anywhere else. I LMAO on that one.

NAIROBI, Kenya â?? Pirates in Somalia said Wednesday they are ferrying ammunition and men to the 30 hijacked vessels still under their control, and they threatened to kill more captives following the violent end to a hostage standoff that left four Americans dead.
The U.S. military said that 15 pirates detained after the Americans were slain Tuesday could face trial in the United States.
The military, FBI and Justice Department are working on the next steps for those pirates, said Bob Prucha, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command in Florida. The Somalis are currently being held on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, which is in the waters off East Africa.
A pirate aboard the hijacked yacht Quest on Tuesday fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a U.S. warship that had responded to last Friday's hijacking. Then gunfire broke out aboard the yacht. When Navy special forces reached the Quest, they found the four American hostages had been shot and killed.

I imagine that would suck, I can see me scrambling to raise the bar that holds you in and jump out of the damn thing with yellow jackets swarming me right now///

Random funny Bobcat story.. We hired some fat bastage as a driver, and he was just sitting in the truck doing nothing so we put him on the bobcat, was one of the ones with a door and glass window. Fat bastage was too fat to lean forward and pull the door closed so he left it open, raised the bucket, tore the damn thing off, managed to get it back on, he did same shit again, except this time the door fell on a pile of retaining wall bricks and he dropped the bucket on it and mangled the damn thing.. he didn't get his first paycheck for a while LOL

Yep. Last year 3 people in my area got killed by law enforcement by pointing guns or running and not dropping their guns. There are some pretty stupid people running around in the woods. Fortunately I am 4.4 miles from the locked gate and the only other way to find the place would be to hike most of that distance.

The most painful thing for me is always something to do with wood. I get more injuries from splitting, cutting, breaking and just walking through the woods. The main pests I face are still the yellow jackets and black flies.
