    Most dangerous animal

I was just sharing some meds with a friend, with Family Feud in the background...anyways, I had a brain fart!!

I turned to my friend, and said, 'you know humans are the most dangerous animals." Why else would nearly every other animal other then those domesticated, and that's not totally reliable, turn and go the other way when they know humans are around.

In the deep scheme of things it speaks loudly about our species. imp:

I walk around unarmed amongst bears, mountain lions, wild boar, lynx, coyotes and many other critters in my woods. The only animal I fear is man.

Years ago, when I was herding sheep......it wzs during the winter breaking to spring, and where we were, were a lot of small gulches and gullies that ewes could hide in.

Well one day, I came up out of one, and turned out into an opening, and there sitting on a knoll was a coyote. Now I had the dog with me as usual, but I guess we were both stunned a little as the frickin' coyote didn't budge in inch. So, we sat there, me on the horse, the dog standing next to me looking up waiting, the the coyote sitting on its ass!!! :stoned:

I was so taken by the moment, I pondered it, and thought wow, this is something that doesn't happen every day. And, after a time and it not moving, I told the dog, git up.......:lol5: And he took off, the coyote took off with the dog in the chase...I let it happen for a while then called the dog back while watching the coyote with binoculars for some time. In the end, I saw it pounce on some rabbit or something. And, then went about my business. :smokin:

Just one of my tales of being out in the wilderness with very little to no other humans around for miles. :stoned: And I didn't have any weed either.

I used to work on a HUGEEE golf course as a greens-keeper, an most holes were rather secluded, not to mention the course was built in he middle of the woods. Used to just ride around on a golf cart smoking herb, would run into all types of animals. When I would see them I would stop and chill by em and smoke, they would all always come over by me and just chill while I talked to them about things and run off if anyone else came... lol (yes was pretty lit talking to rabbits..).. always wondered if an animal could sense I don't eat meat so they don't feel threatened by me, cause it is kind of bugged out how animals react to me.

Thats a nice high speed round. When I am in my truck I usually have 10-22 25 shot, .270 or 12 ga or all three. The only thing I would really want shoot on site would be the dam bear that tears my camp up or a wild pig to eat. I do hunt deer, mountain quail, ruffled grouse, blue grouse and turkeys on my property during the respective seasons as well.

I still fear the two legged predator the most.

I hear ya. I've come up on wildlife so many times, like the coyote incident, and have it go the same way nearly, not always a dog with me, it amazes me. And, I close enough that I could hit them with a rock!!! :S2:

I've hunted, and who knows, may hunt again. My brother hunts for the homeless. Providing venison!!! :lol5:
