Good day
Hey all,
I'm a spinal cord injury recipient and a new grower. First picked up my addiction to good weed in San Francisco, but really started shooting it up in Vancouver...seriously, I smoke only occasionally - preferring sativa-based blends as the most effective for me and the tastiest. I smoked some when I was a kid, mostly seeds and stems now that I am more experienced and look back on the crackle and pop of our spliffs, quit for 20 years except for rare tokes on someone else's joint, but have found that it helps with issues I have due to the injury I have since sustained, to relieve pain associated with SCI and to help with sleep issues. A dispensary is only as trustworthy as its employees, and since I've only found one dispensary (in Oakland) where the weed was entirely reliable, and have never found real quality hash (the few grams I got in BC last time I was there had an after taste of diesel fuel, for instance), I decided the best way was to grow my own. Being somewhat of a gardener anyway, I find I actually enjoy this part as much or more than smoking and the odour of dank weed and the sight of happy healthy plants just makes me smile. Right now, my first grow, I have only 5 plants running on a combination of sunlight and LED, getting good growth and leafing from 3, with 2 laggards who suffered over-watering and root kill right after I potted them from seed-sprouts that I hope to rescue. I have been checking out the forums here for a while before joining and am both impressed and inspired by the enthusiasm for producing great weed, and the helpfulness of the community. I always learn something from dudes like stinkyattic and the other regulars, so this site is gold to me...big buds of gold. Thanks.trejedy Reviewed by trejedy on .
