HOW ARE YOUR 'RENTS?

Well, let me start, I am 21 years old and still living at home. My rents are pretty sweet with me smoking weed and generally they know i smoke it outside and in my room and just dont even mention it. I presumed my mother would have the usual views that have been spoon-fed by the government. This morning she came in and started having a well long talk about it. Lots was said and I asked why she hadnt mentioned it before and she said " well i know so little about it, i would be ignorant to comment on you smoking it" I WAS OVER THE MOON with this from my mother. I wish more people had this view and we talked about other drugs and mainly alcohol and I SHOWED HER THIS WEBSITE AND EROWID AND SHE WAS MORE THAN IMPRESSED.

Her main concern was that apparently I have a strong attictive genes from my gran being into gambling, grandad drink and gambling,aunties all gambling and my dad is a big drinker, says he isn't alcoholic but blaitantly is. These are all on my dads side of the family which I dont see anymore.

IF ONLY OTHERS COULD HAVE THESE VIEWS! Thanks for taking the time to read!

thats pretty cool man its good your mum is tryin to be real with you instead of tellin you how to live an its also good that your appreciate it. My rent's are pretty much the same my mum has friends who smoke it an my dad just says it aint for him

My mom is the only person I know who smokes as much weed every day as I do. My dad smokes too. So does my sister. It's a happy family.

ive gotton caught with weed before.. so i hide my weed, weed pipes, eye drops ect.. but i just leave my salvia, salvia bong, and salvia bubbler out where ever i left it last..

my parents are cool with me smoking as long as i go outside. they also dont want my friends smoking on our property for liabilty reasons or some shit. we toke anyway though, thats one rule we have to brake.

Mom is respecting you, as an adult, which is admirable. You're probably a pretty responsible person. Sounds like an honest relationship.

Carefull with that addiction gene .... Alcohol, Gambling, Smoking, Caffein, are all powerfull lures for me. I'm off drinking and smoking, and I am a moderate gambler. I am on and off caffein, which can be problematic but not life threatening.

The most important thing about addictive personalities are to be honest with yourself about it. It's difficult to deny yourself EVERYTHING. Quit the shit if it affecting your life, think moderation with other things, and hold yourself to it.

DONNIEDARKO: Thanks for your reply bud, oh yeah the one thing I left out was my mum is a major coffee monster! Every 30 mins she has a cup.

I admit I have an addictiv personality and am honest and open with people and NEVER EVER tell lies for two reasons:

1) Usually too stoned and if I told a lie I would have trouble remembering it!

2) I get a horrible feeling if I was to tell a lie and it makes me feel sick!

well, interestingly enough i thought my parents would go ballistic if they found out i smoked weed. I know my father used to toke, but i assumed theyd still find plenty of reasons why i shouldnt.

However, on saturday afternoon, i accidentaly fropped a bag of green on the floor in front of my dad. He picked it up, looked at it and gave it back to me. He said "ill talk to you about that tonight"


3 days later, no talk, and there have been various occasions where they could have spoken to me about it. So by the look of it i have the all clear. Kick ass.
