Hashish is best enjoyed when held in the lungs for longer then 25 seconds. the longer the better, and I know from experience, sometimes that first poke or two won't let you hold it that long. Well, that's the long an the short of the short course. Next time you smoke hashish try it and let me know if it worked for you.
