easyweezy, the first grow can be the most exciting and the most frustrating at the same time. I agree that switching your light schedule should not be necessary with the auto flowering strains you and your buddy chose, but maybe you didn't get what you thought you did. Switching to the 12/12 light schedule will take care of that.

Try to leave as many of the big leaves on your plants as possible. Those are your plant's best "light factories" and are needed by your plant. The branch that comes out near the same spot as the leaf won't grow into much of anything if you remove the big leaf before it gets going.

I'm having a similar problem with low temps and stunting. With an LED setup there isn't much heat given off, so the room air needs to be kept warmer. I've been resistant to turning up the heat in the room, since I don't use it much, but I now know I should have since I'm only about two weeks from harvest and all I have to show are small thumb sized buds. Lots and lots of sparkley frosties though, and I think cooler temps encourage that.
