I don't see much difference in a patient badgering a doctor to sign an authorization that is far, far greater then the normal legal limit per patient of 15 plants total. :what: We rarely hear of things like that until something happens. It jeopardizes the doctor's too. :wtf:

I read the story in the link, most unfortunate. yes these people are certainly victims of the so called 'war on drugs'. But again, I do not intend to sell, distribute, give away, trade, barter, or even tell another living soul what I have in my closet. The authorities have no reason at all too suspect I am doing anything illegal at all. They are NOT sitting in front of my house with FLIR or any other equipment and as long as I never do anything to draw attention to myself or to allow them to 'make an example' of my grow, they NEVER will be. The people in your story were drawing attention to themselves and seiing as they were distributing without the necessary 'permissions' they became targets. Did they deserve what happened to them, no. But neither does Marc Emory. They raised suspicion on themselves. That is why they were caught and made an example of.

If I am wrong though my friend, after I pay whatever cost I am forced to pay and get out of jail, I will come home, log in and publicly apologize to you for ever having doubted you. Fair enough?

There is some validity to this statement as well unfortunatly but not all pilgrems are as easy to do this to and this BAD cops need to do research on who they be settin up before they be doin it cause there be one thing a bad cop aint goin to want to do is run into the likes of someone like well me !
As for these here bad apples they are few and far between in most cases and once they be out as bad cops there departments use them as sacrificial lambs when it needs to save face from its communities. They may be out there but it comes to them all in the end. I do have independant knowlege and exsperience on this subject

chances of getting busted, slim to none. flir reads heat(ir) not plants.in doors use mylar, good insulation and a dryer vent or chimney.the heat signature of two 1000k lights would look like a glowing blob. next they will probably check light bill. they are after the cost effective busts.something they can get press and funding, not wasting tax money chasing cancer patients,or small timers.remember with flir you have distance,a moving object and vague resolution.(blurry image)plus conflicting heat sourses. i'm x military intel photographer.u.s.n. most people get busted for something stupid ie; x girlfriend, smoking joint at red light,landlord etc. so keep low and quiet and good luck.

I know this is an old thread but thank you. this thread has kinda deviated off topic a bit :stoned: but I'm pretty sure led would have no heat sig or nill and cfl would, but they are used commonly today in most homes, so I don't see that triggering a 'hit'. i think would think that using one of those two, in combination of course with telling absolutely no other pilgrem in the whole world, one would be safe.

especially if you live in CO or WA :greenthumb: there just get the biggest brightest highest wattage light you can find and let her fly. you lucky dogs, you.

plus cfl's likely have less heat that normal incandescent light bulbs, so I would think you could have quite a few before you even match the heat of standard 100 watt light bulb, so i'm just not seeing how they could catch you with flir and/or electric records. high wattage hid lights, yes, cfl and led, i don't think so. i would be interested in seeing one documented case where a small personal cfl or led grow was busted with flir. i would say its impossible but i'm no expert.
