The above is quoted directly from an amendment of the FOIA, disallowing use of such information and making it unconstitutional to use any such gathered evidence against an individual.

Now, could the agency using the equipment to compile evidence turn it over to other authorities as a 'whistle blowing' tactic, yes. Is the government spending BILLIONS of dollars and man power hours going door to door to collect such evidence in a useless attempt to destroy every single cannabis plant in existence and simultaneously putting probably 2/3 of the populace in jail because of all illegal activities that may be going on in all our homes? I think not, but I could be wrong. I just hope our Freedom and personal privacy rights have not diminished to the point where door to door spying is seen as an acceptable practice.

This and the last post are all I will write on this subject, I have dismissed the paranoia and do not wish to :beatdeadhorse: myself. Peace all, keep posting and voting on my poll please.

I am in my mid 40's been using cannabis since 1979. In all that time I have been involved in some pretty risky business when it comes to enjoying the herb. Even buying a small quantity from a trusted friend is not safe. Some cop may be working him/her to try to get to his supplier. Anyway, I have never ever had a single run in with the police over MJ. Actually, I have only ever spent 1 night in a lock up cell for having open alcohol in a car on the way to see Iron Maiden when I was 17 and I was not even drinking! I lost the 1/8th of budz I had because I ditched it where they were processing all of us youngens (must have had 25 of us), the cops never detected it though. Turned out too be an ok night though I was able to drop the 3 purple micro dots I had before they locked me up but, I digress. I know people that go into the 'bad side' of town to get dime bags of schwag, at 'grab ond go's'. There is an area in my (and probably every one else's neighborhood) when you drive through it at least 5 guys will try to whistle you down and sell you every substance known to man. I am quite sure buying pot is much riskier than growing a small personal use only crop. IMHO.

You, are a wise man. Thanks for sharing your youth with us. I have a few tales to tell maybe someday. Some good, some bad, some just to let another learn from it. I really appreciate posters like yourself that are willing to share some truths. There are so many out there that spread hate and malice in threads.

Hope we'll get to know each other better in the future. :thumbsup:

I mean matching our conduct with the law/caselaw to make sure we are not fooling ourselves in false beliefs....

Most who ready my threads/posts get insulted, not because I come out like[that other guy] using words like that but, because most are not educated in the laws/caselaw and get bent-out of shape when I post the legal stuff...

Why, because 99% here don't understand the laws, if they did, they surely wouldn't be here asking...and no-one else has the answers...

At that end, I hope I clarified for you my INTENT.

You have your intent to educate. I'm all for it. I just don't feel good when anyone might compromise the situtation of any other MMJ patient or the like due to their own hurt feelings. We are all human. Born to make mistakes.

I find no fault to anyone unless fault is warrented. I have lived a very painful life watching people die in my arms of love trying to calm them and shelter them from the storm they believe is coming and what not. Too painful to even go into and not something I want anyone to think about at night when they lay their heads to rest. It's my lot in life. I chose it and deal with it on a daily basis.

Please, don't hurt anyone with your wraths you may feel are warrented. I know what you feel, but try to overcome it. I would really appreciate it. Love is so hard to come by in this life. Please, if anything before I leave this planet, I want you all to love each other. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. (great western flick by the way)

Note that this trial is moving forward in King County, that medical cannabis Shangri-La where patients are free from prosecution and protected from police harassment. Pray that the gods ruling over this mythical land can move to ensure the rosy and beloved world view of their devout believers be not shattered with harried action uncritical of fallible public servants and unresponsive to the wishes of their people. And also, if you can make it, show up Judge North's court room in downtown Seattle this week.

And yes, I have seen some posts that are written for the sole purpose of insulting and negative criticism. personally i don't get it. But, some people apparently have such pitifully horrible and meaningless lives that need to try to share their misery with every one who has the misfortune to cross their path. I would much rather spark, toke, and pass...makes things so much friendlier and easier, huh?

I read the story in the link, most unfortunate. yes these people are certainly victims of the so called 'war on drugs'. But again, I do not intend to sell, distribute, give away, trade, barter, or even tell another living soul what I have in my closet. The authorities have no reason at all too suspect I am doing anything illegal at all. They are NOT sitting in front of my house with FLIR or any other equipment and as long as I never do anything to draw attention to myself or to allow them to 'make an example' of my grow, they NEVER will be. The people in your story were drawing attention to themselves and seiing as they were distributing without the necessary 'permissions' they became targets. Did they deserve what happened to them, no. But neither does Marc Emory. They raised suspicion on themselves. That is why they were caught and made an example of.

If I am wrong though my friend, after I pay whatever cost I am forced to pay and get out of jail, I will come home, log in and publicly apologize to you for ever having doubted you. Fair enough?

This be the way I sees it to my pilgrem friend no body nows of me and my plant and its going to stay that way I will cuntinue to sleep with both eyes shut with no problem.
