Started a new plant, how long do I veg for?
So I would be able to add a soft white lightbulb to provide more lumens? and as long as I kept the lights 24/0 it won't flower? would it increase the speed of vegging?
I guess the better way of asking the question would be can I veg a seedling with warm soft white bulbs (the bulbs i would naturally use for flowering on a mature plant) instead of the blue natural daylight bulbs used for vegging the seedlings.?
and yes Poker I am/was confused because after answering BWD I had a few new answers from you guys. lol

To answer your lighting question, yes you can use either or both spectrums for vegging.
It is not the color temperature that makes cannabis flower.
It is the length of the day that determines this. (Unless it is an auto flower strain.)
Many people like to use both spectrums because it is closer to natural sunlight.
Others use only an hps during the whole grow cycle.
More lumens is almost always a good thing. So get those lights in there!

Can anyone tell me why I have white powder growing on the leaves? not the 2 small very first leaves but the next set of 2. Is this normal it happened to my first plant also. this is only my second grow so I'm not sure if it's okay or not.

Pics would be very helpful.
Could be some type of mould? could be some types or bugs? Could be a deficiency?
I'm honestly not sure. Post pics and if that doesn't solve it fill out the troubleshooting form.
Sorry couldn't be more help. Maybe after seeing pics I can.:hippy:

I think I already covered it with BWD. I think it's a sun bleach from possible spraying leaves. It appeared today. nothing this morning to whats on it now. I think it's okay I was just wondering what it was.
