Started a new plant, how long do I veg for?

So after my very first plant grow it turned out to be a male... and was an experimental plant so not knowing what to do I may have ended the veg cycle earlier and went to flower and then went back to vegging thinking it was too early. I had veg lights on him for about a month and again was 24/0.

I've started on another plant. I was wondering how long should I veg for? As of right now my veg cycle is 24/0 for about 1 and a half weeks into growing. I'm just asking so my plant doesn't veg as much while in the flowering cycle, and yes I understand the plants still veg but mine seemed to do more vegging then flowering. and I want to prevent that, if I can.

A picture of the new plant is below, does everything seem good for the week and a half.

Thanks BWD. with my last plant I started flowering before it even got it's 1st or 2nd node because I wasn't really sure on what I was doing. Just alternating cycles which would of definitely could of stressed it. But then I got all the flowering cycle figured out with him so I'll be prepared this time around. Just hopin for a female this time. I'm only using seeds from my bags. If I keep getting males I'll buy feminized seeds off the net. and try an auto flower.

Since I have limited resources I was also wondering... How long would a seedling veg in a flower cycle of 24/0 I only have 2-3 veg bulbs and 4-5 flower bulbs. I plan on getting more bulbs of each but that was something I was wondering to see if I would be able to start another grow using my flowering bulbs. or add them on the veg cycle to provide more lumens.

Personally, I have seen the best results when one tries to mimmick the natural sunlight. Try to veg for 2-2.5 months, which helps to give the plant time to develop strong healthy roots, while also creating more branches, ie: more bud sites when you flip the lights over. Try not to rush things, quality comes with patience. Happy growing!!

You want to veg for at least MINIMUM 3 weeks.
4-6 weeks is a reasonable amount of time.

If you want to veg to your plant's peak... the best would be until it starts to show it's pre-flowers.
When it shows pre-flowers that your plants sign of say "Hey YOU, I'm reading to flower now and I am fully mature. I want 12/12 lighting now!"

Alright BWD and to anyone else who can answer... I'll try to be clear and explain the best to my ability. I was wondering..

    1. Could I start a seedling under a flower cycle of 24/0? if so how long would it veg before flowering?

    2. With my current seedling could I add a flower bulb into my veg cycle (soft white CFL, 2700K 1600 lumens) to provide my plant with more lumens? Without it slowing down the veg stage with the plant, or would it just stress my plant and slow down the focus into trying to flower early.

For my veg lights, I have a natural daylight CFL bulb of 3500K and 1600 lumens but it's more of a yellow tint not the blue the seedlings need is that a problem? it's not a warm light it's very bright and white just with a yellowish tint though.

and thank you everyone for your responses! I think I will keep my plant in the veg cycle for a month or 2.

^^ I think I clearly answered your question about how long to veg. Re-read my response.
    I think you are confused
if so how long would it veg before flowering?
The plant unless it is an AUTO strain will NOT flower unless YOU change you lights to something like 14/10 OR 12/12 OR 10/14 ETC....

    For FLOWERING you want 3200k
    For VEG you want 5600k
You CAN mix and match but those numbers above is best.

^That is a good amount of time :stoned:
