My setup and stretching problem, help pleae

    Hi im first time grower..
I have a understair cubboard in my house to use, i have a propergator to start the seeds off and then have a HPS 600 watts light to grow under.

My first batch I put the seedlings straight out of the propergator straight under the HPS and they went yellow and died silly mistake.

So i bought 4 12 inch flourecent strip lights with 60w bulbs and i have but the new seeds straight undr them but they seem to be stretching out its only been 1 week and they were 6-7 inches tall! i repoted the 2 tallest in larger pots and buried up to the baby leafs but they are still 3-4inchs tall and when i repotted them they had no real root base i could see :/ ive changed from having lights on almost constantly to 19/5 cycle..Also when the lights are on the leaves seen to pull together round the bulb and then when lights are off they flatten out..

I have a fan running but not very often as i think it will lower the room temp ? is that wrong..

    any help appreciated thxs

ps do i need foil and ally tape everywhere reflecting light? and when can i change the seedlings to my HPS?

they should of gone into peat pots. and the light has to be closer so the plants won't stretch out reaching for the light. you have to do a little bit of reading on the forum. don't give up. let it grow
    exactly what seventh child said.
