That's part right honestly. I have noticed that my Fem seeds never match the yield Regular seeds do in the end.
But the yield is slightly lower. Its the pest resistance that sucks the most with Fem seeds. They seem to catch mites especially fast. Just what I have seen. Although their Mold resistance is superior.

Hydro requires very little knowledge. If you can maintain a fish tank, you can do hydroponics. It's simple and the only hard part is setting it up.

Don't even tempt me by talking that crap- next thing I'll be doing is running out and buying a 24 bucket ebb and flow for Christ's sake!!!

Ok since I have grown Aero, Hydro, Soil, and TLO I have noticed they all take a degree of skill. I'll list the advantages and disadvantages and you can decide. In my personal Opinion It depends on how lazy you are lol. If you tend to forget a lot or don't have time to invest in the plants Don't pick Hydro.
Aero: The art of growing plants suspended in the air with micro charged water particles supplying nutrients to the roots. OXYGEN+NUTES= insane growth and yield.
    PRO'S
    Fastest growth you can imagine
Incredible yields on such a short amount of time.
Short Veg with a quick turn around rate
    CONS
Need the best Synthetic nutrients available for best results
Slightly expensive but well worth the yields.
    Hardest to maintain
    Requires extensive Hydro knowledge
Hydro: The art of growing plants in water or soil-less medium with synthetic nutrients provided to the plants.
    PRO'S
    Incredible growth rate
Second fastest in terms of speed and turn around
    HUGE yields can be obtained
    CONS
    Requires some novice skill levels.
Must create optimal conditions for the plant to thrive
    Must be VERY clean
    Nutes can be very pricy...
TLO: The art of growing plants with the soil providing all the plant needs. 99-100% Organic.
    PRO'S
    BEST taste and resin production.
Organic means no need to flush
Very nice yields when done right, SoG can easily produce 1oz plants.
Can recycle soil harvest after harvest making it better!
    CONS
Watering has to be precise with NO CHLORINATED WATER!
If you kill the Soil (microlife) your f%cked
Extensive soil knowledge is required for best results.
Expensive as you will need to buy soil and dressings.
Amendments Can easily run you $100 or so.
Soil: The art of growing in soil with the use of bottled nutrients providing everything the plant needs. 50-70% Organic
    PRO'S
    EASIEST growing medium.
Requires least amount of skill, its literally follow the directions on the bottles.
Decent yield with Decent taste as long as you flush.
    Good growth rate and resistance.
    CONS
soil and nutes cost a bit to start up, but you can go a little cheaper here since you don't care about killing the soil.
So long as you get sterilized soil with some perlite to mix in for aeration. your good to go. I have even done a Miracle grow harvest. Came out decent.

So there you have it. Those are hardest to easiest. With sub branches of each adding or taking away. Like Hydro has ebb and flow, DWC, SWC, ect. And soil having TLO, Part Organic and fully synthetic.
Just remember if you pick anything besides TLO you will NEED TO FLUSH. And the taste, smell and resin will never match TLO. But unless you really know what your doing TLO's yield might disappoint you.

Make your own bubble buckets instead. Start with one or two. That's exactly what I did when I jumped into hydroponics about 12 years ago. Once I was comfortable with that I went much, much larger. It's really that simple. I should write a book about it.
