wow... live and learn. I had no idea microwaves were that old. I can only imagine how scary they used to be back then. I think we got our first one when I was still pre-school. I remember it because that was shortly after the stove caught on fire and dad and mom with seemingly superhuman strength shoved it right out the back door while burning and into the yard. Funny the memories that stick with you.

p.s. watch out for those Bees'. I have some in my bonnet that I try to watch out for.

My Aunt Katie decided to have a "microwave" dinner for the entire extended family to show off "her skills" with the microwave. I was just a sprout at the time, and once the meal was presented to me, I whispered to my Mom, "This looks like the Mighty Dog I fed to Rebecca before we left today."

My Mom laughed so hard and so strong that everyone had to know what was said to her. Needless to say, I got in the "bad book" of Aunt Katie after that day. HEY, I was just being honest. She sucked at microwave cooking and in not so many words, out of the mouths of babe, I told her so. Wish I could take it back now ...
