well dont take my word as the golden word but IMHO I take the entire leaf minus maybe a half inch away from plat stem. I have not run into any problems as of yet and this is prob the 4th grow that I have been doing this. I really should have started snipping sooner than I did on this grow but when the body says no sometimes you really have to listen. I read somewhere that a grower was doing the trimming right through veg and into flower as to keep stress down since it would be spread out over the entire grow but I try not to interupt veg to much. By trimming I can honestly say that the yeild seems higher, the entire plant finishes at the same time instead of top then bottom a week later and at harvest time most of the leaves are gone already so it is a matter of seperate buds and throw in spin-pro then done.

Hey tiny... I saw this video on youtube... This guy had 6-8 feet tall plant that were mama's. They were in veg.. He took some electric hedge trimmers that looked like a swordfish, and hacked them to about 5 feet tall. Said he ain't never seen anyone do this,so he was gonna try it to see what would happen. Nothing bad happened.. If anything,they thrived and produced more budsites than you can imagine.. I'll find the video and post ya the link.

well here we are at week 4 of flower and as you can see the girls are filling in really nice and show no adverse effects from the trimming, bonus is light getting to the bottom of plant now

nope never tried bushmaster or anything of it's kind. I have read about the great response that both you and Marty received when you both used it but to tell you the truth if I started using it I most likely would have to reduce the number of plants that the system can grow to allow for more side space between plants. The sob is setup for 18 plants and best I have done so far was 15. I blame my cloning not the system. It is also extremely hard to "experiment" with 1 or 2 plants when they are on the same res. Maybe I'll try it in the tent as the most I do in there is 4.

here's a quick note. I guess I have been forced into retirement since LEO just left with all my plants and misc items. In a month I'll be totally screwed as I will be without meds and not looking forward to that.

Who's LEO? And why did they take your property if you are a med card holder??

Tiki ..... it was local and they said since I cooperated as well as I did they are going to push for a health law violation which is a non-printable misdemener.

Cangro ..... you really need to read more. LEO= Law Enforcement Officer as for the med card, there are still only about 12 states that believe in Medical use of Maryijuana that means around 38 still dont allow it. I am in one of the 38
