top down yellow inside out widow
Does that make sense? I have two widows and one especially is yellowing from the top down, inside out on the leaves (not the veins, the leafy part). I am using general organics line of nutes, currently only cal mag, bio bloom and bio bud.
The second widow is slightly smaller, therefore further from the light. I have reason to believe that this is not from heat. I pulled the lights up a couple inches today anyway, just in case. They are plenty far away, and the hoods are cooled well. Perhaps coincidentally, the yellower widow is about 2-3 inches taller...
So can anyone tell me if this is a nute problem? Perhaps over nuting, maybe too much nitrogen?? I've been trying not to nute much. My caregiver buddy (blindly) tells me to nute more frequently than I am, but I know when the p's can't handle it (brown tips).
I just passed the 28th day of flowering.
Thanks.
pic is under hps so slightly hard to tell but you can see the yellow in contrast with the green veins.henrybemis Reviewed by henrybemis on . top down yellow inside out widow Does that make sense? Nice link... it actually looks like figure 18, zinc deficiency. They say that could be from a high pH though. I have recently noticed a higher pH than when I started, and started pHing down... but haven't when I nute, assuming the cal mag takes it down a notch. I'll pay more attention to that. Thanks.

What is your ingoing water ph, and what brand and type of soil are you in?
How are you checking your ph?
High ph will lock-out elements just as easily as low ph...but with slightly different symptoms.
Might even be from overfertilizing. Are you following the General Organics weekly feeding chart...?

I'm using Pro-mix. Checked the pH and I'm running a bit high. Checked using green drops. Just bought a rapitest ph meter to test soil and runoff (though I don't get much runoff in these 5gal pots, even w close to 2 gallons water). I think I'm somewhere around 7, 7.5. That's high, I realize. So I got some pH down, and against the plants best interest added some slightly acidic water for two days. This has had a negative effect on the plants, some leaf browning and unhealthiness. I think you guys correctly diagnosed, I just went overboard in trying to fix it. Will now start watering at 6-6.5ish consistently.
