Totally up to you bro...you can or you can leave it alone....depends on how much you like popcorn buds and hash making and trimming dinky buds. If your like me and think it's a waste, ( I wind up with enough trim for making oil as it is) trim the lower stuff off leaving as many fan leaves as possible.
