WEBSITE PROBLEMS? Anyone else be havin problems?

I be likin this place I found but if it aint be governed by the creators or the mods be a bit worried to be settin here long i dont want to go but if they dont come back to govern I be thinkin time to get out of dodge yual be havin a backup site to be goin to caus I dont? Any sugestions on the next place to build a fire?

There is a place I have looked around on. I've never posted to this place, I'm just a registered member whom lurks at this time. My user name would be un-recognizable to you or any of my newly found friends, but if any of you made a break from here I would reveal myself to you all so you'd be secure in knowing it's your friend, Lynhal.

It's called Grasscity - seems to be a site that actually has some order to it. Some people keeping it policed in some sort of form or fashion. I really enjoy this can.com forum more than that one, but sometimes push comes to shove and you have to move along the path of safety. Hopefully the mods will show up here and say, "Sorry this or that caused me to be away for a bit ... "

It's hard to think about the fact when I find some place online I feel comfortable and secure with the other members there, something happens to change that. Oh well, maybe it is just my lot in life ... makes me wonder why, when I put out so much good karma, it bites me in the :S3: :wtf:

You guys were lucky if it just took a few hours to get on or it was running slowly. I kept getting a message that the website couldn't be found or the URL isn't valid since yesterday morn. Happened back in July or so or last year. I think it was a maintenance thing maybe. As for the mods not being around, that's just odd and not very comforting.

IT'S ANARCHY! There are so many posts on these forums in the last ... say 3 weeks, that Psycho4Bud, my favorite Modfather, would have been all over! I know for a fact that if I was a mod on this forum I'd have been on top of those like flies on shit. MF is quite skilled at the daunting job of policing the threads here. I'm sure stinkyattic would have jumped on them and gave those homeslices a lesson in forum ettiquette, too.

I'm genuinely worried about this. I am hoping that they are just snowed in or something of the like. But I'm trying to be optimistic here. If I'm not, I get all paranoid thinking THEY are watching. THEY are taking notes. THEY are going to be knocking down your door and you and yours are going to ... ????


You can not tell me that whoever is at the helm of this ship doesn't see our posts of concern ... yet they are ignoring them like we're all on a giant ignore list. Day by day, I am getting more and more leary of even visiting this forum. I will hang tight for a little bit longer but after that, I'll be pretty much a goner. Not due to the friends I have made here they are truly priceless, but due to the fact this place is not being "policed" by anyone that I can "see". That is just IMHO.

I was thinking, when you click on the FORUM HOME and scroll down there is a Contact Us link, we should all contact them and ask if everything is okay on this forum. But at this time, who knows where those emails will go ...

ditto. I've been locked out days, happens all the time on here. :wtf:

as for the mods, that is really odd. one time when they went down and came back up like this a bunch of the mods were gone, so something is prolly going on. I floated a theory years ago that this site is just another one of the DOJ sting sites, but Stinky assured me that was not the case. :jointsmile:

I couldn't get on at all yesterday. I'm thinking these storms and power outages are messing with things and peoples ability to access the net may have something to do with it...Springs coming tho! The river here thawed out this week and the marshes that were froze solid (sure makes it easier to walk around on when hunting) are all now thawed out too...hold out for spring folks!
