you can take the sand back off in a week or 2...but yes watering with it is slow, but I would rather water slow and take my time with that than deal with bugs . watch it too that you don't over water, your soil will hold moisture longer with the sand...

Fungus gnats and grubs Ive had these fungus gnats ever since i transplanted my plants into this organic soil, ive been using fly traps and what not to catch adults, i heard sand on top of the soil will suffocate the eggs. N i heard peroxide will kill the grubs but i wanna see of theres anything else i can do, i dont want buds to start with these damn grubs Rating: 5
