ph down - lime juice ?

another alternative is vinegar. That is what I am using instead of building up the Phosphate... and the plants seem to love it.

lol.. sorry, it was either this or get that song stuck in my head. Lime is a natural acid... shame to waste it by not mixing it with some Rum... but it would have to be safer than battery acid... and I have heard of people using it to lower ph.

Vinegar would be much cheaper though.
