yes you need a carbon filter if it is can fan brand get the can combo that includes a eight inch fan. if u are using co2 and are sealing the room a carbon that big is not need a smaller one for smell scrubing is.
i would also up the wattage if u are able to do so. i have a very similar room and i have 4 thousands, my room is 9 ft and 4in by 13 inch. cool those suckers also what is your outside temp. 4 thous banging is alot of heat to deal with if u have snow covered grounds as do i u will be good. more light means more difficulty. if this is your first than dont up it stay with your 1000 u should get a kilo of that light. you need an air intake if u are not using co2,

I have enough w/b to cover the room and right now I only have one 1000w HPS. What else should I get to help with air-flow in the room as well as the smell? Also, how many lights would you reccomend?
