Maybe moving to NoCal?!
Hello all,
This seems like a nice reasonable site to ask some basic questions in which finding answers on your own is like mucking through 10 ft of mud sometimes!
So my fiance and I are exploring some options for our next step in life. I want a break before I get my BA and we both need a change. We are mid-20's, she is a RN and is going to take up travel nursing after I get my AA this spring. I am looking to grow in a legal way, for too long have I had to operate under fear while doing something I love. I have good experience, can provide some quality goods and am not looking for a career. I am actually very much into sustainable/urban agriculture and will pursue that as my full-time career. BUT, I am wondering what the climate is like for selling LEGALLY to dispensaries and/or patients on a small-medium scale.
My ultimate goal would be to sell enough to supplement our income, compensate us for our costs and provide free smoke- nothing big. Maybe a LB every month? I realize there are legalities to all of this like permits etc etc. But what I need to know is if it is really really hard to get into selling to disp. or patients in Cali as a new resident? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated, and please, be kindDont bash the new guy! :rastasmoke:

Ok I live in Pittsburg and work in a collective in berkeley. What you need to do is first off get your medical marijuana perscription. After you do that sign up with a few collectives and bring in samples of what you are trying to sell. Most of the time they will buy from you if your medicine is any good. So it's not hard to sell to clubs, just a little work.

Thanks for the response. That is basically what I wanted to hear! So it pretty much (in a basic way) comes down to just having the stuff, at a decent quality and just finding the collective that would want to purchase it? OK, so what kind of compensation do they provide usually. I have heard anywhere from 130-250 an OZ in the bay area. Would this be correct? 130 seems WAY low and 250 seems decent for the area. Usually a minimum they will buy? Again, thanks a lot.

It really depends on the quality and quantity, it can range from around $100 for shitty low grade, to up around $300-325 for top shelf high grade. And it will vary club to club, some sell it on commission some pay up front.

I'd tread very lightly when it comes to selling to anyone and I wouldn't support a club as they are all operating illegally and you will be lucky to get 100 an oz. even for top shelf, I've heard people getting even less then $100 an oz. Clubs are getting shut down and I wouldn't want my name associated with any of them. Two years ago my brother was strapped for cash and visited a number of clubs, their top shelf med's got them $1500 a lb. 20 years ago that same pound was worth $6,000.
