Using "Indicator" plants?
I have only recently noticed in the last few grows I wind up with one plant that seems to be an "indicator" plant, or one that seems to be slightly more sensitive to what ever I do to the group. Has anyone else noticed this in their grows?
I have one plant in this current grow (mind you they are all from clones) that reacts to nutes, watering, etc before the others do. I use this one as my "Indicator"...it's an Indica, so I think it's an appropriate name...LOL! I can watch it for nute defs and dryness and it ALWAYS tells me exactly when to water or feed! I take care of this one and all the others just stay perfectly healthy! Anyone else ever do this? I guess maybe it's just me getting progressively better at reading the plants? I dunno, i could just be stoned and imagining this I suppose...:stoned:

I usually flower 4-7 white widow females every grow....and every one wants something different at different times. These are always seeds from the same parents...
...still they always turn out different. I think?...that's good?..good genetics, no herms...crippling high...
....or was we talking about something else?

LOL! Stomper! Fetches what? I need a better stupid pet trick than that now, come on!
My pup fetches dead ducks and geese from freezing water waggin his tail the whole time! Anybody got a dog that fetches unknown, missing or lost bud? Mine has no interest in finding me free weed!?!?!:wtf:
No DP...you got it! So from seed they are all different with different needs, even in the same strain? This sounds logical tho, different phenos and all... I wonder why I sometimes get just one that's an "Indicator" from clones?...you would think all same clones, same mother, identical soil, pots, identical light, identical everything...they should all do the same thing more or less....I'm not complaining about it, it's actually very helpful...I haven't touched my meters for 3 weeks, LOL!, just using the indicator to tell me what they all seem to need...Hang on a sec...just went and checked them with meters and all is well, so my indicator plant seems to work pretty good!
I'm still kinda taking a survey and would like to know if any others notice this or if I am simply too baked lately? Can one actually get too baked? NM, that's another thread entirely! LOL!

Someday, maybe I will be able to fearlessly order some great seeds, too. I impatiently await the day, but I'm far too paranoid to try to get seeds shipped to me as things are now. I have no choice but to keep what I have and try to add strains by cloning. I'm somewhat envious, DP, because I have a mere two strains to play with, both good, but it would be so much fun to have a big two rooms and all the light I wanted, some great DNA to play with, and be able to grow lots of strains with no fear of getting busted...someday maybe.
What I'd REALLY like is my own horticulture lab full of breeders and growers and all I have to do is "Approve" or "Pass" the finished product....LMAO! THAT would be the sweet life to me!

And you aren't really too stoned, there is always one plant that is "sensitive" in nature and seems to react to anything you modify. So, smoke up, my friend! :S2::weedpoke:

The market is flooded with whiz-bang seeds. Hybrids need a long history to stabilize. The strain name game is 98% hype.
....& ..I have zero interest in fem seeds.

Using "Indicator" plants?
Should the day ever come DP and Lynhal, I know who the seed growers are on here and I will consult with all ya'll before I do anything...
The sad part is I live on a very large farm on a river and there are vacant outbuildings (BIG!) that I could use for a monumental grow if it were ever legalized...I have everything I need right here and can't do it....makes me sick I gotta hide in a friggin closet with only 4 babies, and remain as anonymous as possible, to make my own medicine cuz I don't wanna pay for and take $20/per pills for another 30 years, enriching an ever more corrupt pharmaceutical co., and thru them our "representatives" get richer and more corrupt...and I will never have any health insurance...It just sux!
One bldg they used to raise Talapia in long ago (100'x120'x20', HVAC, water, and no windows!)...it still has the two 16,000 gal aluminum tanks in it...man, would those make a reservoir for hydro or what? 16,000 mixed up for veg, 16,000 for flowering...mind boggling the drip system you could build! Then there's all the chicken houses...so much potential there! Then there's the 420 <---(yea, kinda funny they got 420 acres irrigated, huh?) acres of irrigated fields....LOL! I could literally grow many tons at a time here, or have the New World Cannabis Collective hang here to perfect strains...IF!!....it were only legal!
I keep voting and waiting for the "none of the above" option when doing so, but I may not live long enough to see it legal with the corruption as it is today and getting worse all the time....I await the revolution, I guess.
