How do you ph soil

I've seen all the threads where people say u can use aquarium ph testers to test your soil, but how do you do that? do you just stick it in the soil or what?

Dont think yu be testin the soil though i could be wrong or misunderstandin ya. Yu be usin the aquarium ph test strips to be dippin it into the water that runs out the bottom of yur plants after yu water them and be takin that readin pilgrem. Be hoppin this clears yu up or if I misunderstood maybe it be me need the clearin up good luck with yu and yur grow partner Have fun be safe
