Do i have to let the water stand? If so how long? And what would happen if i didnt?

Only asking because my tips have clawed and leaves look shriveled up, skinny and dark green round the side's ,

What happend was my 1 week old babys were starting to go dark green with a purple'ish colour stem, So i took 1 out of the pot to find the roots were wraping around the out side , So straight away i thought tthese must need repotting, but the only pots i had was was 14ltrs one's ! I used playgron grow mix with perlite ,. Everything was going well untill 48hrs later i noticed that the tips were clawing, but previous i was advised to put 10 drops of superthrive with every Gallon ,So i did ! ,.. I done a flush thinking its be over cooked with superthrive , but im not to sure now if i've done the right thing as the plants still look the same and its been 3 days's now since the flush , i used normal tap water straight from the tap as i didnt have enough standing water to do the job, My ph of my tap water is 7.4-5 , the run off was about 6.0-6.5 , I was advised by a great rusty who has been giving me alot of advice to leave alone and see what happens when the new growth comes , But im a little worried as the new growth that was showing isnt growing ,!!

Any idea's mate or anyone for that matter ??
