Help with Unusual yellowing of older growth + rusting inner ridges (PICS)
Everyone done guessing...?
If there's anything else he forgot to mention...I don't want to hear about it. The question should be..."did you forget to add ANYTHING from aisle 12 at your local nursery...?
Perhaps you should be asking him why, if in a commercial potting mix, did he add all those soil ammendments? The soil is a ready-to-use mix. Seems to me you made a decent potting mix too 'strong'.
Plus, if you go overboard with the fungi...they shit nitrogen, which will compound other issues of overfertilization.
Personally, I think I'd either ride it out or re-plant in fresh soil without all those ammendments. Actually, I am pretty sure I'd start another plant or two in case this one doesn't improve. But I would still work on saving this grow.
A flush will do you no good. 100 flushes wouldn't do any good, as you can't flush the medium out of the roots, lol.
Your recipe sounds like something you pulled off the internet. Is this the case? Keep in mind, an over-abundance of organics will burn your plants too. Plus, all those worm castings can make a muddy, suffocating glop in your pot.
What is EWC, and why is it sitting on your topsoil?
There are better choices for altering water ph, but they do cost a few bucks at the hydro store.
Too young to need a calcium boost, and overdosing your ladies on molasses and epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is not the answer. Go find and read the "Epsom Salt is not a miracle cure" thread.
Do yourself a great big favor and quit trying to throw everything under the sun at 'em. It'll take you decades to learn proper care and feeding using this method of overdoing everything, and nothing about this approach spells "winner". Best to approach from a minimalist perspective than to over-do everything. Especially for those that think if a little is good, excess is better.
Pick up your pot and smell the holes in the bottom. If you have root rot you can't miss the smell. Normal soil smells like...soil. Rotting roots stink reeeaally bad.Rusty Trichome Reviewed by Rusty Trichome on . Help with Unusual yellowing of older growth + rusting inner ridges (PICS) What is your experience level?
