the lights i'm using, I got from 'lowes' 48 inch, they cost under $9 for one and as for the bulbs they are "40 watt cool white" those are under $4. I keep them about 3-5 inches above the tops, they love it! using the cool white bulbs lets you keep it close without harming the plants
