BenHerbs Mango & Mazar-I-Sharif 380w CFL Grow
Yesterday I flushed the Mango and it seemed to have worked. New growth was visible in hours, and the dark green creases over the lime green leaves has disappeared. Good times.
Something's up with the Mazar. It looks like nute burn, but could have been from extreme heat one night when it was really hot last week. Because it's taller, it's closer to the lights. The lights are raised and it seems like its getting better... slowly.
Now I have to decide when to flower them... I heard you should flower when the plant has vegetated a third of their full size that you'd like full grown. Because the Mazar is more like a bush, and the Mango has gone through LST, I'm not sure if I should wait a little longer... maybe a week or so? Input welcome :hippy:

I haven't updated in a while... And not many responses. Either I posted wrong, or no one cares about my CFL grow
Maybe everyone is just too stoned:stoned: Anyhow, this is good for me so I can look back and see what I was doing wrong or right. Comments are always welcome:hippy:
Since the last post, I've had some issues Zinc issues with my Mango. Little dry brown spots were collecting between the veins of the base leaves (I'll add pics). Eventually, the individual leaf would be covered and dry out completely. I fixed that by spraying a light dose of tiger bloom on the foliage (2x's a day) for 3 days or so. It cleared up after that.
I've also had continual heat issues. For now I have the lights and fans (2 small stationary/ 1 oscillating) adjusted properly with the temp at a stable 73-74F.
Once I had the Zinc issue controlled, I decided to just go ahead and flower on the 12/12 cycle (2/13/11 was the last day of 24 hour light).
I've been thinking about new grow room ideas since my current grow space is so small. I'd like to get a 400w hps light, but I just don't have room. So for now, I'll stick with the cfl. I just bought a 3rd 68w warm cfl at Home Depot. That's 376 watts of 2700k and 125 6500k. That's an outrageous amount of cfl wattage I know, but that's what it is this time around... That said, I can't complain. My girls look amazing. The next two months are going to be a torturous joy:rastasmoke:

Thanks for stopping by dags and tiki. Since I last checked in, the two plants got a bad case of little black flies, and later mites. After all was said and done, a No-Pest strips killed everything. I harvested the MS and hung it tonight in a big cardboard box for drying, leaving the MPK to bloom for another week or so. I'm reading that the plant should be dried to the point of the stems cracking when bent, around two weeks. Does that sound right? Here are the picks of the girl after trimming. I smoked a little bowl of the scraps and got a nice indica high. Really looking forward to our future together:stoned:
