Wow dont think I ever seen such a varience of level 3 I be figurn would be to low and 11 way to high! either number I think would be deadly to yur plants i work in dirt pilgrem and like mine dialed in about 6 to 6.5 and it seams to work for me. Test the water runoff after waterin works best to read ph. Good luck hope yu grow well

    You are correct.
    Laughed, and spluttered.
You mus' be have some excellent meds.

Here's da long answer 'cause ya made me laugh.

    PH stands for Potential Hydrogen.
    3 is a low number.
And, the lower the number, the more acidity.
PH 3 is ten times more acid than PH 4.
    PH 7 is about neutral.
PH 11 would be very alkaline.

BWD is right about the soil range.
Hydro will grow better at a lower PH than you want for soil.
    As low as 5.2.
I let my DWC drift between 5.2 and 6.2.
Soil is mo' betta above PH 6 probably because it act as a buffer.

    Thanks for the chuckle.

your right,BUT heres a wee BUT..there before christmas 1 of my mates run a wee test.ok..
he bought 2 small greenhouses what he used in his basement.2 same seeds(some autoflowering lowrider hybrid ,36 days from seed to bud)
and he got better result with 4,5 than 5,8.ok like you know im no expert but am i right if im sayng that it depends of the strain as well?and all the equipment what he used was ecxacly the same, same temp, same SOD,everithing(only reason why he did that ws cos he had a argument same way over soil PH levels.

I read somewhere, these plants can survive in very wide range of PH. They just can't absorb nutrients you gave. That cause problems.

    Mahalo! Dexter

    I love conflicting info.
Always willing to un-learn questionable "facts".

Even though I have killed plants with consistently low, and high, PH by accident. (Well, sloppiness, really.)

I'm always willing to view exceptions.

I am more interested in first hand experience, of course.
Are you willing to try to repeat his side by side test and post the results?
If there's truth to this, it would be a great service.
If your results are positive, I'll try to duplicate them.

ok,i gonna make some research bout that tomara and i gonna compare few lowrider hybrids with some other strains and see what can i find..its just that me and all his mates were very supprised that you got better yield and healtyer plants in a bad soil than good soil in same condission:jointsmile:
