Finally got all the improvements done to the flowering room. It was a tight squeeze but everything fits!
The major changes were to the lighting and exhaust. I also made a combination temperature/humidity controller for the main exhaust fan. (Previously the fan was controlled by a timer.) Cost me about $40.
This morning I removed the screen before the lights went out. When the screen was on she was 9" tall and 23" wide. After about twelve hours she had already reached back up quite a lot.(You can see how much she changed in the pics.) I was anticipating this so I set the new screen a few inches higher to help her spread out some. She was a little too dense.
When I transplanted her into the new system, the reservoir was just ph'ed water and Voodoo Juice. I ran this for about two hours before adding the rest of the nutrients. My idea for doing this was to release any built up salts from the roots.
This reservoir went for a total of 41 days. You can tell from the pics that the roots are very healthy.
She looks very happy and is definitely a monster! I love how your experience with the SCRog is showing here, and it has told you to extend her upwards a bit. That sounds like a good call because she looks like a screen filler for sure! The new room looks very well designed. The fan/filter system looks like it can definitely handle things. I love most your efficient use of vertical space in there, designed toward SCRogging. I also want to thank you for all your precise reservoir information throughout this grow. Your information is filling in the gaps I had in understanding how liquid systems work and your work is helping me to get over my fear of the learning curve involved in considering hydro as a long term move toward efficiency in my own grow room.
