Tiki's 2nd SCROG

Hey malus69,
Welcome along for the ride.........well it feels like a ride to me with all these ups and downs.

canniwhatsis,
I have been wanting to get some 3"x3" sized screen, but the only thing I've found so far that comes close is chain link fence.

Well I finally made my first newb mistake on this grow.
When I was calculating at what height to fim my girl, I forgot about one key thing. Inter-nodal stretch!!
Needless to say the main stem is taller than I wanted it to be. It's going to be a tight squeeze from here on.

Well what I was worried about happening occurred this morning.
When i was pulling growth back down under the screen one of the main stalks broke right in half!
I have tied it back together as best I could, but I'm not too confident that it's going to make it.
In retrospect I should have removed the screen and properly taped it back together, but it's too late. What's done is done.

We will see in the next couples days how she turns out. Hope I don't have to rethink my training strategy for three main stalks now.

Well the affected branch is still growing strong. It did not heal up the way I had hoped.
She still can hold herself up, but I don't fully trust it. So there is still one tie on her for support.

It has been hard training her due to the shear size of the stalks.
I would swear she's on steroids. :rambo:

Top Off Mix:

• 1 gal PH'ed Tap Water
• 3 ml Voodoo Juice

PPM = 850
PH = 5.8
10 days continuous reservoir.
27 days vegetative.

bulgarian weightlifter women are like that and very hard too train, but when you doooo..... kidding, maybe, i dont know anymore, screw you for judging anyway my experience is to let them grow through the screen and then tie them down why do you need the screen the way your going? oh yeah as far as enjoying it :stoned::stoned:

So far I have only built three fixtures from scratch. The first one is the one being used for vegging this girl. (100 watt HPS and two 27 watt daylight CFL in a home made reflector.)
I did a mini log on this light. http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-li...-my-light.html

The second currently is not in use, but it is the cheapest one by far. (8 CFLs in a home mode reflector utilizing a power strip.)

The third I designed to be used with my bonsai mother plant. I tried to go for bare minimum lighting in order to keep growth real slow. (Three 15 watt 18" T8 bulbs in a home made reflector.)

I do not have any experience with PP-L lighting, but if you have any questions or think some of this should be in that sticky let me know.
I would be glad to pass on some knowledge. :hippy:

Sorry - I thought you used PP-Ls. How are the T8s working out for your mother?

I'm looking to light my mother / clone cab. I'm leaning towards PP-Ls and find there is a real lack of info on DIYs so I thought I'd try to drum up some interest.
