does anybody even care ?
if they ever open, will anyone actually sign up ?

I dont think it will be competition. I myself will not rely on the dispensaries for my meds,maybe test a strain here and there or get clones etc but, i will grow my own and deal direct with know growers or have my own caregiver that is fair.these dispensaries will be the same costs or higher.
Once upon a time there was a million \"Golden Trichomes\" , Now there are few....
