Do plants still smell in veg?

I was just curious because I think I am noticing a smell from my plant (bubba kush) ..from seed. I am not sure if it is male or female yet. (It is in week 5 of veg)
I just thought it was interesting because I never read anything about this; is it normal? good sign? bad sign? sign of male? sign of female? just something some or all plants do?

All plants have a smell. But I don't believe your gonna be able to sex em by smell though, (this aint prom night.)
Wait till they flower! If you've never smelled a MJ plant in flower, well your in for a treat. I love walking into my grow room during flowering.:thumbsup:
