Minor Arrested for Marijuana

i am 15, and last week i got arrested for about 5 grams of marijuana, i also had a pipe, and a knife on me. i live in South Carolina, and i am very worried about what my punishment will be for this, can someone please help tell me whats going to happen?

get a lawyer and only speak to them. try make sure its kept off your record if they even prosecute you. good luck.

Most likely community service. BUT, do a search on the laws for your state in regard to underaged drug offenses and charges on google.

Get a lawyer. You can get one for little or no cost to you if you can't afford one. I would recommend getting a MJ friendly attorney like the types you find on the back pages of High Times magazine publications.

i was diagnosed with ADHD when i was in middle school, and the meds they put me on did nothing but make me feel strange, when i got to high school i would always hear about everyone smoking marijuana so i decided to do some research. i discovered that all these laws against it are just wrong, if they want people to respect the law then why would you make a law that will do no good for the community? marijuana helps me allot. it helps me relax, it slows me down so i can concentrate on my work without being distracted as easy, it helps me sleep, and it makes me hungry enough to go home and eat (witch is a good thing for me because im small and underweight) i even have better grades since i started smoking. and now i have all these problems, no thanks to these unjust laws. it has torn my family apart... i hope things get better, and i hope someone will have the courage to stand up for me in court, but i doubt it

and for future reference, when medical marijuana is legal in my state, will i beable to get a prescription for my ADHD?

THIS IS what you need to state when you get to court and to the people whom will be deciding your fate. How much MJ has helped you and made you a better student. This is what unbiased jurors will need to hear from you if it goes to a jury trial which I highly doubt it will come to that.

I have heard of dr's that will prescribe this for minors but you will have to do some research on your own because I'm way past that age.

Please try not to stress yourself out over this little incident that you have stumbled upon. Life is full of turns, curves and learning experiences. Talk to your family I am sure there is someone who will stand up and state what a better person this has made you with your condition. I know I would if you were my son, brother, father, uncle, etc.

dont know whats the law there but here in ireland you would prob get 100 community service for 5 grams and suspended for knife.
