They were called on that date and backed off of it. They've been asked to provide some protections for dispensaries until the bill can become law, and to give ALL dispensaries time and a chance to register. All of them seemed to agree that we need a safe way to get our meds NOW, and I really do believe they will try and find some reprieves for current dispensary owners until this thing is hashed out. Whether those reprieves work with leo remains to be seen. I'm not holding my breath.

So, your attorney is right. :hippy:

Not a lot of people got to speak, but those that did spoke out against the registry, citing privacy and security concerns that have recently arisen in numerous other states. Also addressed was the issue of collectives, to give them immunity the same as dispensaries, and the issue of the 1/1/11 date to register as a dispensary. Several people spoke on the issue of non-profit vs. for profit, and that dispensaries should be allowed to select their own business model, as would any other Rating: 5
