Also addressed was the issue of collectives, to give them immunity the same as dispensaries, and the issue of the 1/1/11 date to register as a dispensary. Several people spoke on the issue of non-profit vs. for profit, and that dispensaries should be allowed to select their own business model, as would any other business.
Near the beginning, when it was put to the committee that patients need a safe, secure, regulated way to get their meds, on the committee seemed to agree, and one of the senators said it was "just common sense" to which the entire room applauded.
I think it will pass, I don't think we will get everything we want, but with what has happened with other states recently, I think they will try to find a way to appease us.

Oh, and James, I know it's driving you nuts, so us is those of us who are patients, and them is those making the laws, or attempting to.

I got home tired and sore, to find that Marc Emory has included us in his newsletter, and is imploring all activists, especially those in Cali and Colo, to come live in Washington for 3 months and help us!

We have what it takes to do this! The bill won't go into effect until after this next election. Let's show them how serious we are! :hippy:
