I'm kind of iffy on this bud? Smells Piney/Minty and tastes bad?

Okay so I got this bud from a guy I've bought from several times before, and it's always been good shit. I just got a little over a dime for 10, cause I'm friends with the guy, but the bud I got from him today is weird. It's just some schwag, but it smells REALLY piney. It's almost minty at first sniff. I'm really kind of paranoid to smoke it. It's also really dark green, and it's just ugly looking. I just took a hit of it, and it and the taste is really bland. Not like bud at all. It's comparable to a half cashed bowl's taste. What do you people think? I'm almost afraid it's laced. Also, if I sniff it reall good it kinda burns the nostrils, like I'm smelling rubbing alcohol or something. But I don't know.

Bro that kind of weed floats around here sometimes, it's usually a poorly grown outdoor strain picked too early and not left to cure long enough!

Piney and minty are natural terpenoids, but other things may be present if it wasn't flushed well before harvest.

That is the problem with picking up cannabis on the open black market, without knowing the details of how it was produced. It could be as simple as a new unfamiliar strain, or indeed a well known one being abused.

Far worse than bad flavor, are residual chemicals and insecticides!

Next to growing it yourself so that you are for sure, for sure, using a reputable medical grower may be your best defense.

looks like sum kinda thai weed to me looks a bit mouldy
