    Preventing Hermy plants?

My first plants (2) are just sprouting now. I just put them under 24 hour light. I dont know what strength they're 4 ft long flourescent plant lights and in a room cooler than ideal, about 70 degrees, i dont konw if thats a big deal or not. Is this an allright set up for a couple plants. My other question is i am confused about hermaphrodite plants. What really stresses plants and do i have to worry about that stress during the veg stage or only during the flowering stage.
Any advice is welcome, i have been trying to learn everythin i can and still feel like i dont know what im doing.

    Thanks

    Preventing Hermy plants?

There are many factors of stress. Air problems, cutting/training, nutrient problems, soil problems, ph problems, light problems....
If you stress the unsexed plant good enough in vegging stage it can turn directly to male (Even if its a feminized).
If you stress the plant good enough in flowering stage it can turn to hermie.

70 is ok. No worries. I'd preffer little hotter in flowering stage.
