Advanced Nutrients Feed Calculator
Why is it that when using the feeding calculator, upon entering different number of weeks (eg. 7, 8, 9) with each additional week added the EC or PPM levels drop, BUT the calculator still tells me to use the exact same quantities of nutrient solution!? For example, for a 7 week plan the calculator says use 78 ml of each of Grow, Micro, Bloom and have an EC level of 1.7 at peak flowering. But when I change that to a 9 week schedule it still says use 78 ml of each of Grow, Micro, Bloom but keep EC levels at 1.3. Big difference and I think I'm burning my plants because I can't make sense of this calculator.
Any help on this one?macnasty Reviewed by macnasty on . Look further down on the chart. There are additives that they recommend at different stages. The ec change is from the additives.
Start by cutting the recommended doses in half. That's where I am at, and the plants love it.

Do you mean that you are topping of your reservoir with fully dosed nutrients?
When doing this your ec is rising?

nope. take a look at the nutrient calculator they have. fill in all the information you need for a 7 week program. look at the suggested EC levels. Now add a week. Notice the EC levels decline. Add another week. Ec levels continue to decline, and so on and so forth. BUT THE NUTRIENT CONCENTRATIONS SUGGESTED REMAIN THE SAME. I don't get it

:wtf: Well it doesn't keep declining for me......
More importantly don't worry about hitting their magic number.
Just start low and find out what ec your plants want. :hippy:

That's odd I'll have to try it on a different pc. I'll take your advice though and cut EVERYTHING down in half, including additives like kool bloom botanicaire sweet and hygrozyme. I'm just a little cheesed at how inaccurate their feed calculator is lol but I guess I should also blame myself for putting so much stubborn faith in their numbers. Thx again tiki.
