Exactly! Sure most electronics are made in china. HTG's crap is all knock offs , and over all their prices suck for quality gear ! For example , they sell a 1000w hortilux eye HPS bulb , for $130! You can find it online else where for almost half that price!!! ONly things that are cheap at HTG are there cheap chinese knock offs!

HONESTLY, I have a life and ....put it this way i simply wanted to relay this information abroad. obv you 2 work at a grow store in RI and both are new to this forum...prolly just to post on this comment... From one of my convos with a RI grow shop owner....he mentioned how all the RI grow shops are trying to do a monopoly and raise prices everywhere so ppl have no other choice in RI.. this particular RI grow shop owner said he was not down for that, and was actually threatened to do so... so IDK bout everyone else...but i KNOW HOW RI works and this is a prime example ...

the 400 watt i was talking about is there cheapest set up and its only $165 for 400 watt HPS/MH ballast...reflector...hps and mh bulbs..sockets..and heavy duty timer!!!

i wouldnt buy it cuz i would rather spend the extra money get a digital ballast and better reflector and bulbs..but for some one who doesnt have the extrra $$$ it seems like a great new set up.!!!

Just saying the only thing that is low priced at HTG is their cheap knock offs . Their nutes and supplies are very expensive or the same as you would find in RI.

What is good about china made "walmart"(evil) grow gear is that us cash strapped guys can get start-up grow gear at a affordable price. for under 300 bucks you can get everything accept a fan at htg. That is why I give htg three green thumbs up.

To be honest both i would assume... these guys are pretty cool and laid back and helped me out the first time around just don't be scared to ask for the best deal .i have 8 yrs. business sales exper. so naturally i have my ways of getting the best absolute deal no matter what im buying...mentioning ur driving an hr to visit them from RI cant hurt ... i got a tons of freebies
sure you will too ....it would be great if you visit to post your opinion of the store....

im sure once you go and look for a light and see the savings you will wanna buy a couple extraasss ....i did lol :hippy:

HTG sucks when I first went there to get everything I needed for my room lets just say they sold me the most expensive knock off stuff I've ever bought and they sold me things I didn't even need all of there nutrients are way over priced... I got to organic grow hut in smithfield ri best prices I've seen so far at any store... my opinion I would never buy anything from htg ever again and I wouldn't suggest anyone else to either
